Why do I paint, simply, because
I love it.

I have discovered over the
years that painting the animals in people’s lives gives me the
greatest pleasure. I get to talk to some wonderful people who love
their animals and share with me lovely stories about them.
Someone once asked me why would I get
a painting done when I can take a photo, a painting speaks a
thousand more words, you can show that individual personality
shinning in their eyes and see their whole life in it, not just a
snapshot of that particular point in time.
I never realised, until after my
beautiful Connor passed away, how precious the painting of him is. I
used to use him to practice endless photography on so I have
hundred’s of photos of him but none of these capture him like that
painting does.
I attended art college and studied
advertising, however this really stopped me doing what I loved best,
which was drawing and painting. So after finishing in that industry
I started painting friends pets and that’s where it all started for
me.
I now paint full time, and live with
my husband in the Noosa Hinterland where we are currently ruled over
by the much loved and very spoilt animals pictured below.
